The National Hockey League (NHL) and the NHL Players' Association are bringing two of the biggest teams in the sport to China for a couple of pre-season games this autumn.
The Los Angeles Kings will be playing the Vancouver Canucks in Shanghai and Beijing, with the Shanghai match set to take place at the Mercedez-Benz Arena on September 21, ahead of the Beijing clash on September 23.
'Bringing NHL players to China for two games in September will give both current and potential new fans in Shanghai and Beijing the chance to watch some of the best hockey players in the world,' said Mathieu Schneider of the NHL Players' Association.
'The NHL is committed to growing hockey internationally, and the players fully appreciate the opportunity ahead in the coming years to expand the game's footprint.'
