The National People's Congress released the draft amendments of the PRC IIT law on June 29, 2018. The proposed amendments mark an important step forward on the IIT reform. The PRC tax authorities have also issued various important IIT regulations which indicate a growing trend of increasing scrutiny on the reporting and administration of IIT compliance on the high-income group. The revised PRC IIT law will take effect from 1 January 2019.
